If you know what their favorite 'morning' drink is, you could also put a small bag wrapped in tulle inside the mug. *Coffee, Hot Cocoa, Tea, etc.* I suggested this idea to a client for a her Holiday Party she was throwing, and without spending much extra, her party favors were the talk of the party!
