Known as the first Asian-American superstar, Anna Mae Wong was one of only two non-white performers to work regularly in the early twentieth century (the other was Sessue Hayakaw). The alluring actress was often hailed by critics as one of the most talented leading ladies in film and praised as much for her fashion sense as she was her performances. In 1934, she beat the likes of Rita Hayworth and Marlene Dietrich and was voted “The world’s best dressed woman”. Today we will highlight ideas inspired by this incredible actress.
